Corning® CoolCell®与-80°C冷冻柜结合使用，将以-1°C/分钟的速度提供无醇类冷冻，这是大多数细胞和细胞系冷冻保存的理想选择。CoolCell使用均匀密度交联聚乙烯泡沫，固态芯和径向对称性，它冷冻型材是一致的和可重复的。聚乙烯材质的泡沫是不吸收性的，在冷冻环境中的变化可以忽略不计，从而保护附近的冷冻样品。
