ABM胶原蛋白，让细胞突破空间局限
传统细胞培养方式主要是让细胞生长在玻璃或塑料平面上，细胞只能沿二维平面延伸，这种培养方式称为2D培养。由于某些原代细胞如神经细胞以及干细胞等难以在常规平面附着，需要包被胶原作为促进细胞贴壁的基质，所以胶原包被常常在原代细胞和干细胞2D培养中发挥着重要作用。
与之相比，由胶原蛋白配置的3D固体凝胶形成的三维立体网状结构，能更真实地模拟体内组织结构及微环境，满足复杂细胞组织间相互作用，为细胞提供更好的生长和分化条件。因此，细胞3D培养比传统2D培养的应用前景更为广泛，3D培养主要用于以下几个方面：
- 肿瘤研究应用 3D培养能更好地代表组织结构和细胞微环境，三维癌症模型主要目标是缩小二维细胞系、动物模型和临床研究之间的差距，能够更加真实的模拟体内肿瘤微环境。
- 药物药理研究应用 3D细胞培养在早期药物发现中将有广泛应用，如疾病建模、目标识别和验证、筛选、药物疗效和安全评估等。
- 干细胞研究应用 三维生物系统可以提高人类胚胎干细胞衍生的多能干细胞和成人成体干细胞植入体内后的生存率和再生能力，使干细胞分化在疾病建模和再生医学中的潜力得以发挥。
